Solid and convenient place to stay with a great location close to some good eateries. 🍔

The location was central to the historic sites and a value for the money.

Motel was an original Howard Johnsons and is experiencing a bit of minor wear and tear type deterioration that fortunately is being corrected by the current owners.

We appreciated favourable and excellent location of this place.

Totally recommend this place and would definitely come back there. It was a functional and great hotel in a good area, near to Close to many nice restaurants, Scranton and a convenience store and Dunkin Donuts:)))

Enjoyed my stay here, the room was a good size and the staff were really friendly 😊. I didn't want to leave, so I definitely recommend this place!

We did not enjoy our stay at the Red Carpet Inn. We had spent day travelling enroute to N York City and were tired. This Inn should not be rated as a 2 star. On approaching the entrance everything looked dirty and tired. The room was no better - coffee or something brown spilled over the wall near the waste bin and other areas. The area surrounding the sink taps was dirty.The towels were tired,thin and freyed-one had a hole in it and makeup on it. We did not use the shower (shower head coming out of the wall) and bath taps mucky. The furnishings were very old and worn. One floor lamp did not work. I did not dare look behind the bedhead as would not have then slept. Had we not been so tired we would not have stayed here. Whole place needs refurbishing and good clean!

We enjoyed a great deal the church service they had on 7/3/11 on the second floor of the motel. It would have been enhanced if the room had been better air conditioned.

Great location, just a short walk to the center of Scranton and many nice restaurants and bars. Convenient to have a convenience store and Dunkin Donuts nearby. - Local fast food option, Dunkin', was only a 10-minute walk away.

The room was neat and had a microwave for convenience. The location was excellent, with attractions like Steamtown National Historic Site Railroad Museum being just a short distance away.

Their rooms are always cheap and large with a microwave, the TV and a refrigerator.

I think it really did well for the price. I was pleasantly surprised about the in room coffee pot AND a continental breakfast! the mattress was wonderful. Thanks

I worried that it was not located in the safest are of town, as I was traveling alone. (I am a female) But everything was OK.

Conveniently located within walking distance of a private Jesuit university 🏫.

Price and location. Outside looked a little rundown, but the room was pleasant and better than I expected.

Outside of the hotel looked a little rundown and in need of paint in some areas. The continental breakfast was merely acceptable.
